My credit card earns me a FREE vaca each year (this is how…)

Hey Reader,

I often get asked about what credit cards I personally use and recommend.

After testing 34 cards, I have found this card to be best for our personal usage.

Quick Caveat: credit cards are like chainsaws. Great when cutting down a tree, but in the wrong hands, they can cause a lot of harm. If you’ve ever looked at a chainsaw and thought, “I probably shouldn’t be trusted with this,” then it might be wise to apply the same logic to credit cards. And if you are going to use this credit card (or any), follow my 3 credit card rules so you can ensure that it is a tool that helps your finances and doesn’t harm them. Deal?

Now, let’s get back to our our credit card and why I love it so much.

Because, simply put, it earns us enough points to get a free vacation each year.

Here’s how…

Each month we spend about $3,000 on our card, which means we earn 3,000 points.

Multiply that by 12 months and we get 36,000 points earned in the year.

Here’s where it gets really cool.

Because those 36,000 points can be transferred for free over to our Hyatt account…

And Hyatt has over 250 hotels that you can book for less than 5,000 points per night!

Oh, and some are even as cheap as 3,500 points.

And if you are new to Hyatt, after having stayed in 20+ Hyatt hotels I have never stayed in a bad one.

So what this means is that just from our monthly spend of $3,000…

We’ll get a free hotel stay of at least 7 nights each year 🏝️ 🎉

Now, on to the signup bonus…

75,000 point sign-up bonus

So the main reason I am writing about this today is because for the next couple days they are currently offering a signup bonus of 75k points as well.

Which, if you are doing the math, you just figured out that is 15 FREE nights in a category 1 Hyatt hotel…

just for signing up for a credit card.

That’s your money hack to get a free vacation this year - let me know if you do!

Hey Reader, Sometimes following God feels like failing. And a few years ago, we felt that way with our book, Simple Money, Rich Life. BUT GOD. I thought the story was over, but God didn't. In today's episode, we share the behind-the-scenes details of what has happened with this book and many things we've never shared publicly before. If you have obeyed God and it felt like a failure, I pray this encourages you... And if you have the book or plan on getting it, I think you'll enjoy the...

Hey Reader, (Start by reading: Nehemiah 1:4-11 and 2:1-8) I’ve noticed a weird tension in my own life: I’ll pray hard about a situation, then feel a little guilty for also wanting a plan. As if the truly spiritual move is to pray and wait, and pulling out a spreadsheet means I don’t actually trust God to come through. Nehemiah would find that strange. When he heard Jerusalem’s walls were rubble and her gates burned, he sat down and wept. He fasted, and then he prayed one of the most beautiful...

Hey Reader, Praying over my finances has done more for me than budgeting ever has... and I don’t say that lightly. I love the practical stuff: Budgets, spreadsheets, tools, apps, plans, investment strategies. All of that matters. But as much as I believe in practical financial steps... I believe prayer will do more for your finances than any spreadsheet, app, or tool every could. If you’re all in on that idea, I actually wrote a 30-day financial prayer book that I think you'll love. But if...
